Gwyneth Gibbons, MITT

Gwyneth's career has specialised in travel & tourism. She worked in management positions with Norbreck Castle Hotel, Blackpool, and Holiday Inn, Athens, as well as serving as a flight attendant for Saudia Airlines. In 1984, she and two other directors started Independent Coach Travel (ICT) - now the UK's leading coach tour wholesaler. In 1990, Gwyneth launched RGA Directions which has grown in to RGA UK LTD.

Raymond Gibbons B.A., B.Sc., M.A.

Raymond_Gibbons_rga_financial_director Ray is an ex-banker, having gone through the management training programme of Chemical Bank (Now J.P. Morgan Chase) in New York. He later served as a main board director of Regency Cruises and has been a project manager for hotels and passenger shipping companies in the United States and Europe. Ray is a recognised expert in the study and development of tourism projects.

Studies & Projects - a brief review

  • RGA were commissioned by leading industry exhibition to merge several spreadsheets and refine the data identifying key contacts. RGA worked alongside the show's marketing department to manage a 40,000+ database. Key contacts were telephoned by RGA telemarketing team to re-establish invitation and determine attendance. 2019, researched and added new data to the existing database resulting in a healthy increase to visitor numbers to the 2019 show.
  • Identified key event buyers, managed guest list and provided telemarketing support for Far East Tourist Office, showcase event held in the ballroom of perhaps London's most famous hotel. A unique evening with an esteemed guest list from the UK's travel and meetings industry.
  • Promotional programme in major UK cities presenting nite club chain to 1000 local businesses and introducing special themed entertainment, restaurant and meeting facilities.
  • On behalf of leading European Tourist Office, data research project that resulted in publication of annual booklet identifying UK Tour Operators organising tours to that country, type of holiday activities offered, specific regions/destinations included and full contact detail of the tour operator in the UK. Final publication made available to UK holidaymakers.
  • Produced study on behalf of Top European Tourist Office to determine interest/consequence of hosting events in major cities throughout Europe. Research generated by direct telephone communication and interviews with corporate, association and agency buyers. Study was made available by NTO to local MICE venues and service providers.
  • MICE database maintenance for direct marketing and telemarketing programme to cleanse data and identify potential new business. Mailshot and email despatch on behalf of one of UK's top Country House Estates and Golf Club.
  • Telemarketing project to 1000 local businesses introducing accommodation and meeting facilities on behalf of Irish hotel group launching new hotel in the city.
  • Telephone questionnaire gathering opinion from businesses on the quality and availability of local hotel accommodation. Project on behalf of major hotel chains' possibility of locating to the area.
